A Simple Day in Rawai
Rawai is easy to enjoy without filling every hour. Start by the sea, take your time over lunch and leave the evening open for one of Phuket's best-known sunset spots.

There are days in Phuket when having no big plan is the better plan.
Rawai works particularly well for that. You can start slowly, spend a few hours near the water, stop somewhere when you're hungry and decide what to do next without checking the time every twenty minutes.
Start the morning in Rawai
Rawai Beach is a good place to begin the day and get a feel for the south of the island.
The waterfront is busy without feeling like one of Phuket's large resort areas. Boats come and go, there are places to eat along the road and it is easy to spend some time simply walking near the sea before deciding where to go next.
You don't need to arrive with a checklist.
Have a coffee, take a walk and see how the day feels.
Take your time over lunch
One of the easiest mistakes to make on holiday is trying to fit too much into one day.
Around Rawai, lunch can easily become part of the afternoon rather than a quick stop between activities.
Choose somewhere that looks good, sit down and take your time. If you have plans later in the day, there is usually no reason to rush back into the car straight away.
That slower pace is one of the things we like about staying in this part of Phuket.
Keep the afternoon open
The afternoon does not need a complicated itinerary either.
You might want to spend more time near the coast, head to another beach in the south of Phuket or simply return to SUN HOUSE RAWAI for a while.
A few quiet hours by the pool can sometimes be a better use of a holiday than trying to visit another three places before dinner.
And if the weather changes, you have not ruined a carefully planned schedule.
Finish around Promthep Cape
If the sky is clear, Promthep Cape is an easy way to finish the day.
It is one of Phuket's best-known viewpoints and is especially popular around sunset.
Give yourself enough time to arrive before the sun starts going down. Some evenings are busy, so going a little earlier makes the whole thing easier.
Then head back toward Rawai for dinner.
Keep it simple
You can see a lot of Phuket in a week, but every day does not need to be full.
A morning near the sea, a long lunch, some time to yourself and sunset in the south can be enough.
If you're staying at SUN HOUSE RAWAI and you're not sure what to do on a particular day, ask us. Sometimes the best plan is just knowing which direction to start in.
